Maui Seasons for Peace plans concert

The Maui Seasons for Peace will celebrate the United Nations International Day of Peace with a concert from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center.

This celebration is held annually by the organization to recognize the efforts of those who work to end conflict and promote peace.

Featured at this event will be local performing groups who represent world cultures that live on Maui.

Some of the groups that will be performing are Uncle George Kahumoku Jr., the Kamehameha Ukulele band, Zen Taiko Maui and other local groups to be announced. Performances will continue each half hour for the duration of this event.

There will be an informational booth set up by the Rotary Clubs of Maui. Any nonprofit wishing to host an informational table should contact Maui Seasons for Peace at There is no cost to host a table.
