STEM careers subject of meeting

Science, technology, engineering, math education and workforce development will be the topic of the American Association of University Women’s meeting on Saturday at Moose McGillycuddy’s, 2511 S. Kihei Road in Kihei. The business meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by speaker Isla Young, and lunch at noon.

Young is director of the K-12 STEM education and workforce development programs for Maui Economic Development Board’s Women in Technology. MEDB created this statewide project in partnership with businesses and educators to motivate women toward STEM careers.
