Assistance Dogs of Hawaii will host its ninth annual Valentine’s Benefit at the Four Seasons Resort Maui on Feb. 11 with a reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by a gourmet three-course dinner at 6:30 p.m. There will also be live and silent auctions and music by the Makai Jazz Quartet. Masters of Ceremonies Guy Hagi and Kim Gennaula will emcee, highlighting graduate teams and current puppies in training.
Since its inception in 2000, Assistance Dogs of Hawaii has graduated over 70 service dogs for children and adults with disabilities and other special needs. They also touch the lives of thousands of Hawaii residents each year through community outreach programs.
“The generosity of our dedicated supporters is what makes this program possible, said Executive Director Mo Maurer. “This annual event is a great way to say thank you and for our supporters to see the lives that are changed because of their generosity.”
The Valentine’s Benefit event is sponsored by Dowling Co., Bank of Hawaii and the Dorvin D. Leis Co.
Tickets are $175 each or $1,400 for a table of eight. To purchase tickets, call 298-0167 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
