Plantation House scares up daily Halloween fun
Looking for a howling good time? The award-winning Plantation House Restaurant in Kapalua will launch its Halloween season early with a frighteningly good menu of food and drink, along with live entertainment and eerie decor Friday through Oct. 31.
Executive Chef Jojo Vasquez, voted one of Hawaii’s Rising Star Chefs, will scare up culinary sensations that will have you screaming for more. Two new menu items include cassoulet of Hawaiian snapper with white beans, Portuguese sausage, cabbage and oven roasted tomatoes; and free-range chicken breast with organic Kula corn and Swiss-chard risotto.
For dessert, sink your fangs into Simpli-Fresh Farms Meyer lemon compote; or mango panna cotta featuring coconut tapioca and fresh berries.
The newly launched “Bar Nineteen” will flow red with hand-crafted Bloody Mary cocktails and monstrous Mai Tai and its new “Plantation House Collection” of wines by the glass.
Stellar vintages, such as Kistler Chardonnay, Bergstrom Pinot Noir and ZD Cabernet Sauvignon, will put the spell on you as you enjoy the casual ambiance of the bar that boasts four flatscreen TVs, lounge area and golf course view seating.
The “House” will also feature weekend entertainment with Ambassador of Aloha Wilmont Kahaialii, one of Maui’s favorite Hawaiian entertainers, Friday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30.
