Bev Gannon’s disco-themed birthday bash takes the cake

Renowned Maui chef and restaurateur Beverly Gannon recently celebrated her 65th birthday at a surprise “Studio 65” party thrown at her Wailea restaurant, Gannon’s. The milestone marks a new chapter for Bev who, after 26 years, has been transitioning from the daily operations of her restaurants (Hali’imaile General Store, Joe Bar & Grill and Gannon’s) to the role of mentor to her executive chefs and cooks in her restaurants, assisting with their creative visions. Later this year, expect some exciting changes as Bev turns the page on a new chapter.

At the birthday bash, an entertainer jumped out of a fake cake; and VIPs spotted were rock drummer Mick Fleetwood, Ulupalakua Ranch’s Pardee and Betsy Erdman, attorney Paul Mancini, Maui Coffee Roasters’ Nicky “Beans” Matichyn and Jane Kocivar, MD. and of course, Bev’s beloved husband, Joe Gannon.
