Lahaina Coolers uncorks next monthly wine dinner

Two-time Grammy Award-winner Garrett Probst will perform at the next monthly wine dinner on Friday at Lahaina Coolers.

“We’ve been presenting these wine dinners since 2007,” says GM Sean Stover. “For $65, diners get three courses and wines. Or you may buy the various courses a la carte. We get a lot of returnees as it’s such a good deal. Ordered without wines, the full menu is $40 per person.”

The first course will be seared scallops with mango chutney paired with Noble Vines sauvignon blanc. Next will be housemade tomato-basil bisque and crostini paired with Fleurs de Prairie rose. The entree is orange-ginger duck breast paired with Noble Vines pinot noir 2007.

Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. on the open-air lanai of Lahaina Coolers. The event is casual and fun and geared for adults 21 and older. The restaurant’s motto is “life is too short to eat boring food” — and the wine dinner menu is an example.
