Starry Night Cinema

THE BIG SCREEN MEETS THE BACKYARD with a Starry Night Cinema at Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The free screening of animated film “Hotel Transylvania” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday will kick off the holiday season; amphitheater gates open at 5 p.m. Live music with Soul Kitchen, movie food and snacks by local vendors, and art projects for keiki will be offered. Costumes are welcomed but not required. “Hotel Transylvania” follows Count Dracula, who has become the operator of a high-end resort, far away from the human world. He goes into overprotective mode when a human boy discovers the resort and falls for the count’s teenage daughter. Starry Night Cinema is an outdoor movie experience; moviegoers are welcome to bring blankets, mats and chairs with low backs. No cooler or outside food and beverages are allowed.
