BENEFIT CONCERT AT HOPE CHAPEL IN KIHEI

Hope Chapel will host a benefit concert for Camp Agape with The Katinas from 7 p.m. Camp Agape is a four-day event for children of incarcerated parents and is the first year on Maui. The Katinas are five brothers from the Samoan Islands that have been touring and recording for the past 20 years. For more information, call 879-3853. WHALE TALES LAUNCHES RECEPTION AND SHOW

Celebrate opening day of Whale Tales 2014 Lahaina, at a reception from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Sugar Cane Maui Restaurant on Front Street in Lahaina. Tickets are $20 and will support Whale Tale beneficiaries and includes light pupu and cash bar. Whale Tales continues at Second Friday with “Whale Love,” presented by National Geographic photographer, filmmaker and marine biologist Flip Nicklin and Jason Sturgis at 7 p.m. at Campbell Park. The show will also be featured at The Maui Theater through Monday.

‘LOVE FOR OCEAN’ AT LAHAINA FRIDAY PARTY

Celebrate “Love for the Ocean” from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lahaina’s Friday Town Party in Campbell Park. Enjoy music by Maui Jam, a drum performance by Boys & Girls Club Lahaina and others.
