VISIT MIS EXHIBIT AT THE VETERANS CENTER

A visual exhibit titled “MIS: America’s Secret Weapon – Japanese Americans in the Military Intelligence Service in World War II” will be on display at the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center in Kahului from noon to 4 p.m. today, Friday and Monday to Wednesday continuing through Jan. 31. WILLIE K AND HIS BAND IN WAIKAPU GOLF CLUB

Catch Willie K and the Warehouse Blues Band at the King Kamehameha Golf Club in Waikapu. Dinner will begin at 6:30 tonight for $70. ‘WHISPERS OF WONDER’ BOOK RELEASE, SIGNING

A presentation on the newly released book “Whispers of Wonder: A Journey of Beauty and Balance” will be held at The Sacred Garden, 460 Kaluanui Road in Makawao. The book, created by California mother-daughter team Kathy and Kamryn Clarke, features photographs of rock balancing and inspirational words. Sacred Garden owner Eve Eschner Hogan wrote the forward to the book. GARAGE SALE TO BENEFIT MAUI HUMANE SOCIETY

Maui Humane Society will host a garage sale from 9 a.m. to noon at the Puunene shelter featuring pet supplies, animal-related merchandise, household items and more.
