Pacific Whale Foundation presents the premiere of “A Plastic Ocean” award-winning documentary at The Historic Iao Theater in Wailuku. MAUI’S HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI REMEMBRANCE

Join the annual commemoration of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at 5 p.m. at Iao United Church of Christ. There will be origami crane-making, a performance by Maui Taiko, keynote speaker and co-author of “Peace on Your Wings” Jenny Taira will share insights into the show’s inspiration and its journey. A scene and musical numbers from “Peace on Your Wings” will be shared, followed by a song by Laurie Rubin and refreshments. The interfaith and intercultural program is free and is open to the public. The church is located at 2371 W. Vineyard St. in Wailuku.

CABARET NIGHT AT CAFE DEL VINO RESTAURANT
