LAURYN HILL PRESENTS A SPECIAL VALENTINE’S WEEKEND CONCERT. This New Jersey native first came to attention with the multi-talented group, the Fugees. Its sophomore album, “The Score,” which featured the hit song “Killing Me Softly,” remains the worldwide top-selling rap album of all time. Her self-written and self-produced iconic solo album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” topped the Billboard charts the moment it came out. Hill visits Maui at 6 p.m. Saturday on the Events Lawn of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Gates open at 5 p.m. Special guest Eli-Mac, aka Ciara-Camile Roque Velasco, the Filipino-American singer from the third season of “American Idol.” Tickets are $59 in advance general admission (plus applicable fees).
