EAT AN ONO MEAL, HELP MAUI’S HOMELESS ANIMALS. Maui Humane Society is celebrating National Adopt-a-Shelter-Pet Day with its first Dine Out for Pets. Participating restaurants — from Down The Hatch and The Dirty Monkey in Lahaina and Upcountry’s Kula Bistro and Casanova to Charley’s Restaurant & Saloon in Paia, Kihei’s Monsoon India, Kono’s on the Green and Da Kitchen, and a slew of Central Maui restaurants including The Mill House — will donate a portion of proceeds from the day’s sales to benefit Maui’s homeless animals. In addition, pick your adoption price when adopting any adult animal from MHS throughout the day. For more information and a full list of participating restaurants, visit www.mauihumanesociety.org or call 877-3680, ext. 219.
