BAND NAME ASIDE, THIS DIVERSE GROUP OFFERS SMART, MULTI-LAYERED MUSIC.

Now in its second decade of making music, this California-based band formed by multi-instrumentalists Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty has matured into a versatile musical ensemble with drummer Ryan Moran, percussionist Oguer Ocon; saxophonist Daniel Delacruz; keyboardist Paul Wolstencroft, and trumpet and trombone player Andy Geib. An eclectic band when it comes to musical styles as well as collaborations, Slightly Stoopid presents its energizing and multifaceted sound along with Hawaii’s own Rebel Souljahz and Fortunate Youth at 6 p.m. on the Events Lawn (gates open at 5 p.m.) at the MACC. Advance tickets are $35 and $79 for VIPs 21 years and older, increasing to $45 and $89 day of show. For tickets and more information, visit the box office, call 242-7469 or go online to www.mauiarts.org.
