The Maui Film Festival’s 18th annual 2016 FirstLight: Academy Screenings on Maui will be held over two days in November and six days in December, which will be shared with you a bit further down the road. The event will present 26 of the most award-worthy films of the year featuring an A-List of film universe luminaries.

November’s two days are the 17 and 22. December’s dates are  13, 20, 22, 23, 27 and 28.

Stars lighting up the screen in November’s seven films include:  Casey Affleck, Lizzy Caplan, Marianne Cotillard, Aaron Eckhart, Adam Driver, Joel Egerton, Ruth Negga, Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron and Michelle Williams.

Festival Director Barry Rivers raves that this year’s FirstLight films “present an embarrassment of riches FirstLight has not presented for many, many years.”

All screenings will be in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater in Kahului.
