Set against the backdrop of 1960s San Francisco, “Birth of the Dragon” is a modern take on the classic movies that Bruce Lee was known for. It takes its inspiration from the epic and still controversial showdown between an up-and-coming Bruce Lee and kung fu master Wong Jack Man – a battle that gave birth to a legend. Starring Billy Magnussen, Yu Xia and Philip Ng.

A young girl comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads with a mother who’s an eccentric artist and an alcoholic father who would stir the children’s imagination with hope as a distraction to their poverty. Starring Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts.

“THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD” R, 1:58. Action, comedy. Lahaina Wharf Cinema and Maui Mall Megaplex.

The world’s top bodyguard gets a new client, a hit man who must testify at the International Court of Justice. They must put their differences aside and work together to make it to the trial on time. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Gary Oldman.
