Science-fiction satire in which scientists discover a way to shrink people down to about six inches tall, hoping to use the technique to build micro communities that will reduce humanity’s impact on the environment. An Omaha resident agrees to the procedure believing he’ll be able to afford a more opulent lifestyle in his new micro village, but he soon discovers that his new home isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. This musical about the life of entrepreneur P.T. Barnum depicts how he found fame and fortune by starting a circus in 1870’s America. The Greatest Showman posits Barnum as the creator of modern show business, and a man who believed in celebrating those who were different instead of scorning them.
