“RIFFTRAX LIVE: KRULL” PG-13, 2:10. Concert/special events. Maui Mall Megaplex. 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday.

Fathom Events and Riff bring sci-fi/fantasy classic “Krull” to movie theaters nationwide for two nights. Travel to the magical planet Krull, where people travel freely through time and space. Princess Lyssa and Prince Corwyn plan to marry and rule the magical land until the fair kingdom is invaded by The Beast and his army of slayers. The princess is kidnapped, and it’s up to Corwyn to rescue her. Naturally he assembles a rag-tag band of misfits to help him: a cyclop, a couple of wizards; a Robbie Coltrane and a Liam Neeson. Will Corwyn save his Princess from the clutches of dark magic?

Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show. Starring Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph and Joel McHale.

“MILE 22” R, 1:35. Action/ adventure. Maui Mall Megaplex, Regal Wharf Cinemas.

Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Lauren Cohan and Iko Uwais.

“ALPHA” PG-13, 1:47. Action/ adventure. Kaahumanu 6.

An epic adventure set in the last Ice Age, this is a fascinating, visually stunning story that shines a light on the origins of man’s best friend. While on his first hunt, a young man is injured and must learn to survive alone in the wilderness. Reluctantly taming a lone wolf abandoned by its pack, the pair learn to rely on each other and become unlikely allies. Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Johannes Haukur Johannesson.

“ANT-MAN AND THE WASP” PG-13. 1:58. Action/adventure, Sci-fi/fantasy. Maui Mall Megaplex.

Scott Lang is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym, Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy. Starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas.

Ron Stallworth is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. Starring John David Washington, Adam Driver and Laura Harrier.
