The Shops at Wailea is pleased to welcome Enchantress Gallery by Bootzie, a gallery which features an exclusive collection of soulful and contemporary original artworks, sculpture, designer jewelry, fashion and more, personally curated by Bootzie Alexandra and James Freeborne Welch.

“We wanted to find a way to merge our undying passion for art and expression through beauty,” said Alexandra. “James and I are thrilled to be able to feature well known international artists, as well as local Maui artists, in our collection. Our gallery is a convergence of beauty, art and community.”

“Color maximalist” Hermine Harman will be the featured artist during the grand opening.

Harman studied vision painting and intuitive watercolors at Esalen Institute in California, and later studied at Maui’s Hui No Eau Visual Arts Center in Makawao.

“I love vibrancy and use many materials to bring joy to the work — from glitter to beads, feathers to collage,” said Harman. “I enjoy the spontaneous interaction of feelings, pigment and paper. I often allow the loose liquidity of watercolor to swirl colors over the surface, then follow the threads.”

Enchantress Gallery is open 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is located on the upper level near Na Hoku and Ki’i Gallery.
