• Being Like GD with Kobi Gil will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, through Sept. 6 at Jewish Congregation of Maui, 634 Alulike St., Kihei. Teaches Kabbalistic principles as conveyed by the “Ashlag” in the mid-20th century as presented by Rabbi Arik Naveh. We all want to know how to connect to the Divine and get the best tools for succeeding in this life. Learn how to use the principles of the Torah to be a better person. How are we supposed to understand “what is abhorrent to you do not onto others” on the one hand and “love your neighbor as thyself” on the other? ** “QuickBooks 101” will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Malcolm Center at Maui Economic Development Board, Inc., Research & Technology Park, 1305 N. Holopono St. #5, Kihei. This free workshop will cover: Understanding the basics of using QuickBooks; Use QuickBooks to simply manage your small business books; Learn how to run financial reports from your program. Please be sure to bring your QuickBooks program installed on your laptop in either Apple or PC format. Online format is available but will not be the primary program being taught. You must be able to attend the full six hours. We will provide a small dinner for attendees.

** “OHA Loan Fair” will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Maui Economic Opportunity, 99 Mahalani St., Wailuku. ** “Maui Export Seminar –Website Globalization” with John Holman will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday. In this workshop, we will explore the topic of website globalization and how you can leverage your website to connect with buyers around the world. Learn the keys to reaching global consumers via your website. We will also cover global e-commerce, domain considerations, Search Engine Optimization, language translation and internationalization considerations. Also, find out how the Hi-STEP grant program can help boost your business’s exports. If you are already exporting, you will learn how to enter new markets and increase your exports.
