With a big MAHALO! to The Maui News’ readers for voting it the “Best Land Activity” on Maui in the recent Best of Maui contest, Pi’iholo Ranch Zipline is excited to announce a special kamaaina rate from today through Nov. 30 for $75 per person. Now isle residents can experience any zipline tour package that the company offers.

PRZ’s ziplines soar high above the grasslands and the rolling hills, lush forest and rocky ravines of the historic 800-acre Pi’iholo Ranch in Upcountry Maui.

“From its location on the slopes of Haleakala, the views of the island are stunning. The company offers a wide variety of activities designed to tantalize anyone from age 8 to 108 (yes, we’ve had 91 year-olds up here zipping!),” marketing manager Nicholas Gilbert says.

“The six-line Tower Zipline Course includes lines ranging in heights from 42 feet to 800 feet above ground and from 480 feet to over a half-mile long — which make up the longest side-by-side zipline in Hawaii. A different adventure awaits riders on The Treetop Canopy Course, on which the riders can swing through the trees like happy monkeys at heights ranging from 14 feet to 120 feet above ground.

“Our new ‘QUICKjump’ device, which, after the initial ‘free fall’ sensation — gently lowers riders to the ground, is also part of Treetop Canopy Course,” says Gilbert.

“In addition, our guests may challenge themselves on our 42-foot high climbing tower with seven unique climbs.”

Numerous onsite zipline packages are available, and some can be combined with a tranquil waterfall hike and swim. The less adventurous may walk along tours that are also available.

“We want local residents to come experience the exhilaration of a ride on a Pi’iholo Ranch Zipline,” says General Manager Cori Seki. “We do offer the most exciting zipline experience on the island, and look forward to providing residents and visitors the ‘Best Land Activity on Maui for many more years.”
