Pet of the Week
Are you a sucker for great big cuddle bugs? Well, they don’t come much bigger or better than me — Garfield, cat No. 25.
I’m an 18-pound, neutered 4-year-old male that could stand to lose a few pounds if you ask the veterinary staff here. I was brought to Maui Humane Society on Nov. 30 after my owners had to move and couldn’t take me with them. Now that I’m in the shelter’s care, I’m on a diet and feeling better already.
The only thing that still keeps me down is that I have to be on my own so they can control my feedings — and boy is companionship important to me. That’s why I’m so eager to get a home and a family that I can completely shower with all my cuddles and kisses. I may have missed the chance to go home for the holiday, but it’s never too late to give me the best gift there is — the gift of love.
