Want to do a little shopping before or after dinner at the Four Seasons Resort Maui in Wailea? From 7 to 10 p.m. Fridays, its Night Market is set up on the Fountain View Lawn in the courtyard conveniently between DUO Steak and Seafood and Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante.

“Night Market is a curated collection of some of my favorite island makers and designers. It is a great opportunity to feature creatives at the resort while throwing a beautiful poolside party,” says art director Rosie Potter. ”

“In selecting the vendors, I thought of my own travels and what I look to bring home,” Potter adds. “I always look for something handcrafted locally.

“My second thought is to find something specifically designed with that place in mind. Often it’s a lot of work to find those perfect gifts, so putting this together for kamaaina and our guests has been a lot of fun.”

Vendors include Puka Perri with deluxe puka shell and pearl jewelry, Ame Maui Paris with treasures from Maui and France,

Holo Holo Surf with aloha and surf wear, Maui Driftwood with etched phrases on found driftwood, Kula Roses with isle lei, Maui Grown 808 with palm baskets and plants, Annie Fisher with handpainted pillows and handbags, Hawaii Flora Fauna with foraged flowers woven into lei, Tropical Goddess with Maui fashions and jewelry and Kumu Scratch with leather goods.

“Night Market is great for local holiday shopping since the resort has collected so much talent in one place. Otherwise, you would drive around all weekend to procure this selection of jewelry, clothing, bags and crafts,” says Potter.

Night Market is open to hotel guests and the general public.
