• Upcountry Hawaii T’ai Chi Ch’uan classes with John Rivera and Jan Osterneck will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Starting Tuesday, Jan. 8. and will run for 10 weeks at central and upcountry locations. Beginner T’ai Chi Ch’uan is excellent for improving concentration, strengthening the mind/body connection and enhancing health and well-being. Cost is $150. • Business workshops. The following County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development workshops will be held at Maui County Business Resource Center, Maui Mall, Suite B-9. To reserve a seat, call 270-5770. Workshops are free unless otherwise noted.
** “The Contractors License Application Process” with Mehling Dudoit will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday. You will learn the process of properly filling out a Contractors License Application. In this workshop, Dudoit will share her expertise and the processes involved in becoming a licensed contractor here on Maui.
** “Create More Value for Your Customers” with Bobby Jackson will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. This workshop will focus on ways to create value, how value can mean different things to different customers and how your marketing activities should communicate value and not just the product itself.
• Keiki art class “Animal Kindness Club” with Barbara Steinberg will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through March 6 at Maui Bridge Club, Kenolio Recreation Center, 131 S. Kihei Road, Kihei.
