Thank You Letters
The students, teachers and families of Na Kula Kaiapuni ‘o Maui wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Old
Lahaina Lu’au and Na Leo Kalele for their support of our annual Wehena Makahiki event again this year. We are grateful for their commitment to our Hawaiian Language Immersion program schools at Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary, Lahaina Intermediate, Lahainaluna High, Pa’ia Elementary, Kalama Intermediate, King Kekaulike High and Hana High and Elementary.
As our schools and communities have grown over the past eight years, we are thankful for your steadfast support and generosity. Wehena Makahiki is an annual gathering of all of our schools that maintains and preserves our cultural practices for Makahiki. It is also a time to express our gratitude, celebrate the season of harvest and nurture the relationships between all immersion schools on Maui. We are not only proud stewards of our ‘olelo makuahine, but also of our ‘aina aloha, Maui. Palena ‘ole no ko makou mahalo! Ke aloha nui no ia ‘oukou apau!
