Affordable farming and local natural gas will be the topics of the Maui Venture Forum from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the Maui Tropical Plantation.

The two main speakers will be Dale Bonar, retired executive director of the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust, who will speak on affordable farming land trusts; and Rich Foster of Golden Powers LLC, who will discuss how natural gas in compressed and liquid forms offer an opportunity for lower fuel costs and cleaner fuel that has potential for local production.

The forum is part of a series of events organized by David Fisher of Maui Venture Consulting.

The forum cost is $38 plus fees. Lunch will be included. To register, go to the website
