New executives named to head Montage Kapalua Bay

Montage Kapalua Bay, formerly The Residences at Kapalua Bay, has named two new executives to head the luxury hotel group’s newest property, which is set to open this spring in West Maui.

The 24-acre Montage Kapalua Bay will soon feature a 50-suite resort as well as 56-unit residences for sale.

Richard Holtzman, who has been in the hospitality industry as an executive for more than 30 years, will oversee management of all operations for Montage Kapalua Bay as vice president and managing director. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years in Hawaii as president of Kukui’ula Development Co. LLC, managing a 1,000-acre luxury resort and residential community in Poipu on the south shore of Kauai. He graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hospitality Administration.

Lisa Hatem has been appointed as the director of sales for the Montage Residences Kapalua Bay. She has secured more than $800 million in real estate transactions for more than 400 buyers over the past 13 years. Before taking her new position, she held a similar position as director of sales and managing broker at the Montage Hotels & Resorts at Little Nell in Aspen, Colo. She and her team contracted and closed an average of $60 million a year in sales. In her personal time, she is an avid horsewoman and enjoys traveling to exotic places with her husband and two children.
