Retailer for action sports to come to Queen Ka’ahumanu
Zumiez, a national retailer for action sports-related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories, will be opening at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center this fall, according to an announcement Monday.
The retailer, which operates 552 stores worldwide, appeals to young men and women who are into skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, motorcross and BMX biking, the announcement said.
“Zumiez is a great complement to our expanding family of name-brand retailers,” Queen Ka’ahumanu Center Marketing Manager Todd Vines said. “We have a natural audience for action sports styles on Maui, and we’re proud Zumiez selected Queen Ka’ahumanu Center for its first Hawaii location outside of Oahu.”
Vans and Charlotte Russe also will open their first and only Maui locations at the shopping center this summer, officials said.
