Former Mauian launches new swimwear collection
Former Maui girl and jewelry designer Tiffany Chou has launched a new swimwear collection. As an extension of her beach-chic inspired jewelry and accessories collections, she has ventured into swimwear and her spring/summer 2014 collection currently is available for purchase online at tiffanychou.com.
The suits include one-piece and two-piece bikini sets. Prices range from $84 to $185 retail.
Chou currently lives in New York. She launched her jewelry collection in 2010, and it has been featured in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit editions.
DANCE TEAM. Dance professional Rita O’Connor and her private Image Dance Studio have teamed up with Keoni’s Hot Lava DanceFit Studio in the Maui Mall to offer dance classes and dance parties throughout the week.
Classes offered include Argentine tango and beginner salsa. O’Connor also teaches at Aloha Ballroom Dance Academy.
PARTY OPENING. Island Art Party, owned by Kihei residents Curt and Alma Winn, had its grand opening in February in the Azeka Mauka Shopping Center in Kihei.
As a member of the “paint and sip” industry, Island Art Party has painting classes, a bar, a gift shop and music to create an adult social atmosphere. No painting experience is needed. Customers will leave the class with a 16-inch-by-20-inch canvas painting.

HOT JEWELRY. Maui Clothing Co. has added a new line of Volcano Island Jewelry that has been featured at the company’s Wailea and Lahaina stores recently.
The jewelry “celebrates the Hawaiian lands known locally as the ‘aina and the ancient art of beading,” according to a news release.
A REOPENING. Kimberly’s Jewelry has reopened in its old space at The Wharf Cinema Center in Lahaina.
Owner Kimanh Nguyen’s business features Hawaiian Heirloom, 14-carat Italian gold and diamond and gemstone jewelry.
