Accomplished Rotarian to speak Jan. 23
Dr. Robert S. Scott, chairman of Rotary International Polio Plus Committee, will speak at the Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise’s breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 23 at the Five Palms Restaurant at the Mana Kai Maui Resort in Kihei.
Scott was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. He retired as a general practitioner and former chief of staff at Cobourg General Hospital Ontario in Canada.
Scott joined Rotary in 1971 and has served Rotary International as a vice president, director, international assembly group discussion leader and district governor.
A recipient of Rotary International’s Service Above Self Award, he also has received the International Service Award for a Polio-Free World, the Four Avenues of Service Citation and The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service Award.
The cost of the breakfast is $22. The public is invited.
