Club presents ethics lesson to students
The Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise purchased 360 copies of the “Andy and Elmer Apple Dumpling Adventure” coloring and activity book by Andrew J. Shoup and distributed them this spring to 3rd-graders at Kamali’i and Kihei elementary schools.
Club members used the instructional material to teach ethics and character development.
The activity aimed to introduce students to the “Rotary Four-Way Test” and how they can use it to make positive decisions.
The coloring/activity book demonstrates the lesson that Andy learns; that even in the world of successful business there are good reasons to care for and about others.
The activity is among the many community service activities and projects sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise.
The club meets at 7:30 a.m. most Wednesdays at the Five Palms Restaurant in the Mana Kai Resort in Kihei.
