Habitat for Humanity Maui appoints new deputy director

Habitat for Humanity Maui has hired Richard Carr as deputy director. Carr will work with the Executive Director Sherri K. Dodson to execute the organization’s mission. Carr has experience in working with nonprofits and brings a wealth of knowledge in construction and organizational processes, according to a news release.

“With the start of the Kahawai project, our 16-unit condominium, Richard comes at a perfect time as we strive to hit the 100-house mark,” said Dodson. “Habitat just celebrated completing 75 homes and has a goal of completing 25 more homes in the next five years. Having an additional person at the helm to assist the director will further the goals of the organization.”
