Cameron Center’s anniversary event June 8
A limited number of tickets is available for the J. Walter Cameron Center’s “Time of Renewal” 40th anniversary fundraising celebration.
The event will be held at the Wailuku estate of the late Pundy Yokouchi at 5:30 p.m. June 8.
George Kahumoku & Friends will entertain.
The honorary co-chairs are Hawaiian musician Eddie Kamae and his wife, Myrna, as well as Maui County Mayor Alan Arakawa and Council Chairwoman Gladys Baisa.
The evening will include hosted cocktails, a catered dinner, and silent and live auctions.

The center’s mission is “to assist people with special needs by providing a home for Maui’s social service agencies.”
The center, located at 95 Mahalani St. in Wailuku, opened its doors April 23, 1973. Since then, more than 120,000 Mauians with special needs and their families have found hope, help and healing at the center.
