Grant funds free summer instruction
The 21st Century Learning Community will have a variety of offerings for high-school students or those who will enter high school in the fall. The program is supported by federal funds distributed by the state Department of Education.
There are credit classes, half-credit classes and not-for-credit options.
Classes will be offered at Baldwin High School in Wailuku.
Class dates vary by course, but they will meet from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. June 6 to July 19. There will be no classes Kamehameha Day, June 11, or the Fourth of July.
Registration will be accepted until classes begin or are full (15 to 20 students). All instruction is free of charge.
For a listing with course descriptions and registration forms, call Baldwin High School at 984-5656, ext. 236, or leave a message in the office with contact information.
