Muscial performances part of children’s reading program
“Uncle Wayne” Watkins and the Howling Dog Band will perform at libraries throughout Maui County as part of the 2013 Children’s Summer Reading Program, hosted by the Hawaii State Public Library System.
The program’s theme this year, “Dig into Reading,” will encourage young readers to explore dinosaurs, construction vehicles, ancient Egypt, caves and more.
The events are free and open to keiki ages 3 and up, accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Uncle Wayne and the Howling Dog Band will performing at 10 a.m. June 21 at the Lanai Public & School Library, at 10 a.m. June 24 at the Molokai Public Library, at 10 a.m. June 26 at the Wailuku Public Library, at 10 a.m. June 27 at the Makawao Public Library, at 10:30 a.m. June 28 at the Kihei Public Library, at 10:30 a.m. June 29 at the Kahului Public Library and at 2 p.m. June 29 at the Lahaina Public Library.
