Residents earn degrees through distance learning

The University of Hawaii Center at the University of Hawaii Maui College has announced that 86 students were awarded baccalaureate and graduate degrees for the academic year 2012-13. The graduates listed below are Maui residents who participated in the college’s distance learning program. There were 35 participants at the center’s graduation ceremony held in the Maui Beach Hotel’s Elleair Rainbow Ballroom on May 10:

The University of Hawaii Center was established by the UH Board of Regents to facilitate the offering of select bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UH-Manoa, UH-West Oahu and UH-Hilo. More than 1,000 Maui county residents have taken advantage of these programs and earned their degrees.
