Community invited to anti-bullying presentation

An anti-bullying presentation will be made at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Lokelani Intermediate School cafeteria.

A trainer with the “Rachel’s Challenge” program will be at the event to give parents and community members an idea of what students may be experiencing.

Rachel Joy Scott, for whom the program is named, was the first student killed in the library at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo., on April 20, 1999.

“Rachel’s Challenge” was organized by her family to help schools fight bullying and all types of harassment.

Parents, community members and students in grade 6 and higher are invited to attend.
