Jenkins named RAM president

Riette G. Jenkins, Realtor and broker, was named president of Realtors Association of Maui on Sept. 13 for the 2013-2014 term at the association’s annual installation luncheon.

Jenkins has been a Realtor since 1988 and has been affiliated with Coldwell Banker Island Properties in Wailea for 11 years.

Outgoing association President P. Denise La Costa said: “Riette is bright and tenacious about completing things properly and will be a great leader.”

In Jenkins’ acceptance speech, she said: “As a real estate industry, we want to continue our successful relationships with the County of Maui, working together on important real estate issues that may impact our consumers and households. Our Government Affairs Committee will continue to meet with our mayor, County Council, state House and Senate members as well as the United States delegation in Washington, D.C .”

As association president, Jenkins will attend the National Association of Realtors conventions and the Realtors mid-year legislative meetings in Washington, D.C. She will attend the Leadership Summit for the National Association of Realtors and participate in the Hawaii Association of Realtors board meetings.
