Kiwanis Club of Maui gives bus stop a facelift

The Kiwanis Club of Maui recently refurbished the school bus stop across the street from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Makawao, one of many ongoing community projects of the organization.

The club built and continues to maintain five school bus stops at schools on the island. The Makawao bus stop was built in 1987 and is dedicated to Stan Arakawa, a president of the club who died while in office.

Kiwanis Club of Maui had help refurbishing the bus stop with supplies from Miyake Concrete (siding and roof panels), RSI Roofing and Building Supply (roll roofing, tar paper and nails) and Ace Hardware (paint).
