Maui County Electronic Recycling announces schedule for holidays
Maui County Electronic Recycling will be closed Dec. 24, but will be open Dec. 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Regular days and hours of operation are Tuesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The recycling operation will also be open Jan. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help with after-Christmas electronic cleanup.
The service is free for businesses and residents. Items accepted include televisions and computers, and everything that attaches to them (both wired and wirelessly), phones, gaming and audio devices, all batteries associated with electronics and power tools, household batteries, microwaves, switching boxes, satellite and cable systems. No appliances are accepted.
Items may be recycled at Habitat for Humanity, 901 Lower Main St., Wailuku.
On the west side, electronics may be recycled during the Lahaina cleanup from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lahaina Cannery Mall.
