Tech entrepreneur to speak at leadership event
Technology entrepreneur Heather O’Brien will be the guest speaker at the Maui Leadership Series event at Cafe Carmen at the Maui Research and Technology Park in Kihei from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
O’Brien is the co-founder of Sovolve. The company aims to inspire collaboration to affect positive change, according to a news release.
O’Brien also helped create the travel social network couchsurfing.com.
The Maui Leadership Series is organized by the Ka Ipu Kukui Fellowship, a yearlong leadership program developed through the Decisions Maui and Focus Maui Nui initiatives. It was conceived to promote and develop future leaders and address planning for Maui’s future.
The Maui Leadership Series is a free, monthly event featuring short presentations by island innovators.
