Edible landscaping topic of training

The University of Hawaii Maui College and Edventure at the Office of Continuing Education and Training are offering a first-of-the-year professional training on the art of edible landscaping.

Created for entrepreneurs and landscape managers, this 18-hour training is open to anyone interested in the design, principles, installation and maintenance of comprehensive and beautiful food spaces for the hotel, business or home.

Instructor Evan Ryan is a permaculture designer, farmer, project manager and educator with long-term experience on Maui, according to a news release.

This training will be held on Tuesdays, from 3 to 6:30 p.m., Jan. 14 through Feb. 4, with one training from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 25 Each participant will create a design project based on skills and concepts learned in the training.
