Health and nutrition questions part of vegan potluck dinner
The Vegetarian Society of Hawaii will host a vegan potluck dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Cameron Center auditorium.
Participants are asked to bring a vegan dish to share at this free event.
The dinner will be followed by a discussion period with Steve Blake from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Attendees are welcome to ask Blake health and nutrition questions.
Blake has earned a doctorate in nutritional biochemistry, and lectures at the University of Hawaii, according to a news release. He has lectured at Stanford University, Harvard’s McLean Hospital and at Boston University Medical Center.
Blake is the nutritional biochemist at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience. He and his wife, Catherine, have a solar-powered organic farm on Maui.
The Cameron Center is located at 95 Mahalani St. in Wailuku.
