Tickets, including camping, available for Mystic Island Festival
The seventh annual Mystic Island Festival will be held Thursday through Feb. 3 at the Boy Scout Camp in Waihee.
Festivities feature world music, electronic music and workshops including keynote speakers Daniel Pinchbeck (author) and Jee-Kei Leung (TEDx speaker and founder of Bloom Series documentary on Transformational Festivals).
Performers set to take the stage include Shimshai, Kaminanda, Random Rab, David Starfire, Chris Berry, Janover ft. reSUNnator, Diane Patterson, Leah song (Rising Appalachia), the Human Experience, Dustin Thomas (of Nahko Bear and Medicine for the People) and Jaya Lakshmi & Ananda.
Attendees will find healthy food, ecstatic dance and world dance, men’s and women’s empowerment, healing arts, community building, communication skills, and ceremonial and ritual techniques, according to a news release.
Featured presenters also are to include Alex and Allyson Grey, Viola Rose, Scott Catamas and the Rev. Kedar St. John of the Temple of Peace.
All-access festival passes, including camping, can be purchased in advance by Hawaii residents for $150, or $175 at the door.
Four-day passes without camping are available for $100, and single-day passes are also available.
