Kula resident selected for leadership program
John Van Scoy of Kula has been selected to participate in Gonzaga University’s Comprehensive Leadership Program’s newest student cohort, from the undergraduate class of 2017.
After a selective admissions process that evaluated 153 applicants, the class was established with 43 students from around the country.
In the academic arena, the class boasts an average high school grade-point average of 3.85. Now, they seek to continue their academic endeavors in a diverse array of fields. The prospective majors represent Gonzaga’s College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Education, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and School of Human Physiology and Nursing.
The Comprehensive Leadership Program at Gonzaga is a three-year program designed to offer students opportunities to develop knowledge and skills for leadership. The school is located in Spokane, Wash.
