TEDxMaui returning to island; presenter selection underway

TEDxMaui will return for its third consecutive year to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Sept. 28.

This daylong event will take place in the MACC’s Castle Theater and the Yokouchi Pavilion and will feature presenters and performers from Maui and elsewhere who have the passion, curiosity and creativity to change the world with their revolutionary ideas, according to an announcement.

Independently produced under license from TED, the TEDxMaui event was launched in 2012 by local organizers looking to bring inspiration to Maui and to share ideas from Maui with the world. TED, which stands for technology, entertainment and design, is a national nonprofit organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.”

The presenter selection process for TEDxMaui 2014 is currently underway and anyone interested in applying to speak or nominating a speaker can go to www.tedxmaui.com to fill out the application forms.

The final list of presenters for TEDxMaui 2014 will not be unveiled until later this year, however tickets will go on sale via the MACC Box Office on April 15.
