County to celebrate National Senior Health & Fitness Day
The County of Maui will celebrate the 21st annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day at noon Wednesday with a proclamation signing by Mayor Alan Arakawa on the front lawn of the Kalana O Maui building in Wailuku.
The proclamation will be followed by an EnhanceFitness demonstration featuring the program’s trainers and participants led by EF Master Trainer Paula Keele.
Maui County Office on Aging staff will offer program giveaways and distribute brochures for EnhanceFitness classes and “Better Choices, Better Health” workshops.
In addition to the Wailuku event, an hourlong SeniorFit brown bag lunch will be held at Maui Powerhouse Gym in Kihei at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The casual get-together will include games and entertainment.
