Tricia Leina’ala Hinayo Takemoto, daughter of Earl Takemoto and Claire Kobayashi of Makawao, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Northern Colorado on May 10. Her major is in Asian studies with a concentration in liberal arts with mathematics and history minors.

Jordan Ray Cabunoc, son of Guy and Josephine Enoki of Waikapu, received his associate of science in refrigeration and air conditioning from Honolulu Community College. He is a 2011 Baldwin High School graduate.

Andrew Victor Najjar, son of Victor and Karen Najjar, will receive his Bachelor of Science in nursing from University of Washington on June 13. Najjar’s mother, the former Karen Toyomi Enoki; his sister, Shelly Najjar; and maternal grandmother Katsuko Enoki of Pukalani are also University of Washington alumni.

Alison King of Wailuku, Jenifer Santos of Lahaina and Jennifer Young of Makawao graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif., on May 3.

The following Gonzaga University students participated in graduation exercises during a commencement ceremony May 11 in Spokane, Wash.: Dylan Emde of Kula, Bachelor of Science, mechanical engineering; Erick Lyons of Lahaina, Bachelor of Science, mechanical engineering; Ruben Yamada of Kahului, Bachelor of Business Administration, accounting.

Maui students graduating June 14 from Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore., include the following Haiku residents: Colin F. Dickens, Bachelor of Science, chemical engineering, and Tyler N. Rosa, Bachelor of Science, psychology.

Katelyn Perryman of Wailuku receive a Bachelor of Arts in psychology during Kansas University’s commencement on May 18. The school is in Lawrence.

Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., conferred degrees during its commencement ceremonies May 17 to the following Maui residents: Jolie Brehm of Kahului graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy; Kelsey Tengan of Makawao graduated with a doctorate in dental science; and Janea Yamagata-Lopez of Wailuku graduated with a Bachelor of Science.
