Holley is MOKK scholarship recipient

Mikiala Holley, a Baldwin High School senior, is this year’s Maui Okinawa Kenjin Kai scholarship recipient.

She is the daughter of Michael and Gale Holley of Haiku. In the fall, Holley head to the University of Hawaii – Manoa to major in nutrition.

While participating in various school clubs as well as in the Baldwin High School Honor Society, Holley has been most active in swimming. She was a member of the MIL championship team and also was the student assistant coach and team manager in her junior and senior year.

She also played for the Baldwin High School’s water polo team for two years.

Holley received a $1,000 award at the Maui Okinawa Kenjin Kai’s board meeting, was recognized at the Baldwin High School award assembly and will meet MOKK’s general membership at its annual picnic in July.
