Students sell wares at economics fair

Forty-eight students sold their wares at the 5th Grade Economics Fair held at Kamehameha Schools Maui elementary campus on May 19.

Fourth-grade students were allowed to shop and preview the event that they will participate in next school year as 5th-graders. The 4th-grade shoppers were followed by 5th-grade shoppers, VIP shoppers (administrators), parents, and teachers and staff.

Shoppers completed a survey and the results were: Melia Kama, overall winner; Garrett Smith, best nonfood; Bailey Ventura, most tantalizing food; Savannah Dagupion, best booth; and Kiha Kahalehau, best salesperson.
