Diane Li of Wailuku has been named to the Marist College dean’s list for the spring semester. The liberal arts college is in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Makai Michael Mann of Makawao was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Mann is enrolled in the university’s School of Engineering & Applied Science.
To qualify for the dean’s list in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, students must earn a semester grade-point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 graded units.
Jordan Limoli of Wailea was named to the Miami University spring 2014 dean’s list.
Miami University students who ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within each division for first semester 2013-14 were named to the dean’s list recognizing academic performance.
The school is in Oxford, Ohio.
Rachel Bega of Pukalani was named to the dean’s honor roll in recognition of outstanding scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year at the University of Northern Colorado. To qualify for the honor roll, a student must maintain a 3.50-3.74 grade-point average in any two terms of the year.
The school is in Greeley, Colo.
The following students with ties to Maui County have earned academic honors at colleges and universities. Unless otherwise noted, the grade-point averages are on a 4.0 scale.
Students who made the scholastic honor roll for the spring term have been announced by Oregon State University. To be on the honor roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work. Colin F. Dickens of Haiku, a senior studying chemical engineering, and Wailuku resident Kristen H. Kaya, a sophomore studying psychology, had straight-A grade-point averages. Makawao residents Kameron T. Kaneshina, senior, exercise and sport science; Megan F. O Malley, sophomore, sociology; and Kerri M. Yamamoto, junior, exercise and sport science, earned GPAs of at least 3.5, as did Wailuku residents Hiilei G. Andrade, junior, human development and family science; and Kasey N. Munetake, senior, electrical and computer engineering.
Cory A. Fernandez of Wailuku made the dean’s honor roll for the spring term at Western Oregon University.
Wailuku residents Joey Ooka and Cayla Tokunaga were both named to the dean’s list at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore., for the spring semester. To qualify for the dean’s list at Pacific, a student must achieve a term grade-point average of at least 3.7 and complete 12 or more graded hours.
